About The Designer

Hello and thank you for stopping by today! I thought I’d tell you a bit about the designer behind Dandelion Dust Designs. My name is Ginger, and creativity is a part of who I have always been, as far back as I can remember. While I should have majored in Architecture and Interior Design in college, I went the safe route and have my degree in Business Administration and Management. I’ve lived in the metro Phoenix, AZ for over 25 years, but I’m a Midwest girl and very proud to be from Nebraska – it will always hold a very special place in my heart.

I started paper scrapping and card making in the 90’s as a release away from my very stressful 70-80 hours a week Corporate America job. However, since I tend to come from the perfectionist side of things, I was never quite happy with how my layouts and cards looked when they were finished, and since everything was glued down, there was no going back and changing anything. I gave up scrapping for many years, until I stumbled across digital scrapping in 2009 and became obsessed {digi scrappers know exactly what I mean}, and I have never looked back.

This adventure has been a journey, since I’m a graphic designer simply self-taught by a passion for quality, rather than by trade. Digital design is amazing – how cool is it that you can completely change a layout you’ve already finished, at any time, from anywhere, using only your computer. Why do I love digital scrapping so much? Mainly because I have no stacks of crafting supplies in every nook, cranny or closet in my home. I no longer find glitter sprinkled about the house or on me, nor do I spend an hour dragging out scrapping supplies to get set up, to scrapbook for an hour and then spend another hour putting it all back away. Instead I simply flip on my laptop, open my files in Photoshop Creative Cloud and within a minute or two I’m already creating and clean up is as easy as closing the lid on my laptop. I love the digital age!

I strive for fresh, stylish and sophisticated design concepts with each collection that I create. Luckily, I always learn more from my mistakes, than I do my successes, so my products are constantly evolving, as my technical skills and experience have increased, and my tastes have changed over the years.

I hope this website brings you ideas, inspiration and beautiful designs that you can take and make your own, by creating special layouts that have lots of meaning. It is a pleasure to help you document your memories, everyday stories and all those little things that just make life what it is.

Thank you for your business – it is greatly appreciated!
